How much memory is needed to make the server usable?

Hey,

I know that Tekkit needs a lot of memory.

Would it make sense to run a Sponge server with 512MB or 1GB?

Or does it make no sense, compared to the addons that work with that amount of memory?

Because, I am thinking about to add Sponge to FireFlyGaming.
Currently we do only 512MB or 1GB instances and its questionable if that would be worth it.

512mb/1gb isn’t going to be enough for really anybody.

If you’re running Tekkit, you’re gonna want at LEAST 2gb from my experience to have a seamless experience.

I tend to run all my modded servers with 6-12gb allocated, depending on how heavy it is.
